SELEX Communications and Advanced New Technologies (ANT) announce collaboration 

Following on from recent growth and new staff appointments Advanced New Technologies have announced a major expansion into the North American market. The company, well known for its integration of on-board technology in the superyacht market, have been selling to the US from its UK bases in Hull and Southampton up until now. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/124787/image/large-bfd90aa83f74d7351005cfc3f71f19bd.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/124787">“With recent order growth from the US over the past 18 months we have decided to have a permanent presence in this important market place” said Steve Puckering the company’s CEO “North America accounted for 16% of superyacht deliveries in 2007 and is the second largest market after Europe. Increased sales activity for ANT has led us to review our marketing strategy for the US in 2008. This has commenced with the appointment of a US Business Development Manager” The company have recruited Victor Walker, who was born in Northern Ireland but has lived in the States since 1994. Victor started working in the US as an electronics technician and worked his way through retail and then into the marine market ending up with a senior sales role. In 2001 he moved to Criteria, a marine service company based in Fort Lauderdale immediately working on a contract for the largest US yacht ever built. Over the next three years he was heavily involved in the refit as well as the new build markets. Now working in a joint Sales and Project Management role he moved on for a short time to American Custom Yachts before joining Intelect based back in Fort Lauderdale. “During my 3 years at Intelect I was involved in new builds and refits with total order values of over $4m. I improved my project management skills still further and when I became aware of the opportunity to become ANTs Business Development Manager for the US I jumped at the chance. Advanced New Technologies announces major expansion into North American market

Advanced New Technologies’ growth continues apace with their announcement of the recruitment of a Dutch national to head up ANT Holland BV as Business Manager. <img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/124723/image/large-a8fe35e8aebeda3bdb7c6d480057e688.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/124723">The Hull based company, whose reputation in the application of technology in the luxury yacht and residential markets seems to grow daily, sees this as a key appointment. “We have had an office in Holland for a number of years now” said Alan Bernardi, Commercial Director. “With our expanded portfolio of products and services covering Entertainment and Control, Communications and Data, Integrated Bridge and Navigation and Security Systems we realised the need to appoint from within the Dutch market. I am pleased to announce that Dick Breure has joined as Business Manager”. Dick is a well-known individual in the North European AV and superyacht markets. “After qualifying as an electrical engineer I moved into sales and worked for Inter VCD, distributors for Barco and AMX as an Account Manager” replied Dick, “and then went on to work for Alewijnse Marine Systems on entertainment, audio visual and integrated bridge systems as Sales Manager”. “When the opportunity to join ANT came up I jumped at it. I will be responsible for all operations in the Netherlands, meeting with the yards, consultants, specifiers and architects in the superyacht industry. Our central goal is to ensure ANT Holland BV maintain long-term relationships with customers and owners. We will achieve this through innovation, reliability and delivery. We are a company with a growing track record for an ability to integrate systems, provide technological advantage plus full client consultancy and advice. We can provide strong support during the new build or refit stages which ensures we meet all the requirements and expectations of our customers”. Supporting Dick will be Arnold den Boon who is the non-executive Director and is working at a senior level in the marine industry, as well as two service engineers Berry Gielens and Hans Swiers. However, Alan Bernardi was at pains to point out that Dick and his team will be able to rely on the whole ANT infrastructure. “We have over 100 employees now and, whilst our Dutch subsidiary will be independent, it will enjoy the full support of the Group’s technical and operational resources whenever needed”.
