Fred Elliot

The Dutch shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/34" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Vitters Shipyard (Company)">Vitters</a> has completed extensive refit works on the 41.55-metre J Class sailing yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/432" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ranger41.55m (136'4&quot;)Danish Yachts2003">Ranger</a> at its Zwartsluis-based facility. Following her departure from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/34" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Vitters Shipyard (Company)">Vitter’s</a> facility in the Netherlands, the J Class Ranger will be transported to Zaandam where her official launch will take place. After sea trials out on the North Sea, she will depart for the Carribean, where she will prepare for another season of racing. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/108556/image/large-8196a2804fe9acccb6e779570e3f9d03.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/108556">Originally launched by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/792" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Danish Yachts (Company)">Danish</a> in 2003, the year-long refit included a complete overhaul of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/432" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ranger41.55m (136'4&quot;)Danish Yachts2003">Ranger’s</a> engine room; a new hydraulic system; fully upgraded navigation and communication systems; a complete servicing of her rigging; a new teak deck, cockpit and helm station; as well as a fresh coat of paint to her hull. The 120GT sloop sailing yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/432" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ranger41.55m (136'4&quot;)Danish Yachts2003">Ranger</a> features <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/420" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fred Elliot (Company)">Fred Elliot</a> naval architecture with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/42" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Glade Johnson Design, Inc. (Company)">Glade Johnson Design</a> interiors. Her exterior design was initially drawn up by the US duo <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/213" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Sparkman & Stephens, Inc. Vitters completes 42m Ranger yacht refit

The refit of the J Class Ranger yacht has been completed at Vitters’ Zwartsluis facility in the Netherlands.
