Founded in 1986 by Andre Hoek, Hoek Design is a well-established and respected naval architecture practice specialising in custom sailing and motor yachts. We have developed a distinctive style and pay particular attention to performance and efficiency. Hoek Design offers a complete custom design package, including all naval architecture, exterior and interior design, structural engineering and performance optimisation. It’s a genuine one stop shop.

Based in the historic town of Edam, close to the heart of the Dutch yacht building industry, we offer a comprehensive range of styles, from our well-known Truly Classic look to ultra-modern options. Each yacht shares our distinctive and elegant ‘Hoek Look’.
We excel in designing a wide range of classic and modern yachts, sail or motor, including traditional Dutch yachts with leeboards, gaff and square-rigged yachts. Our portfolio includes everything from elegant daysailers designed for lakes, to superyachts for world cruising and regattas. We have a particular expertise in designing modern versions of the iconic J-Class. We are passionate about developing designs to their fullest potential.
