The largest yachts for sale at Cannes Yachting Festival 2023

With the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 drawing closer, SYT takes a look at some of the yachts available to purchase at this year’s show.

Italyachts’ 43m motor yacht Genesis for sale was delivered in 2011 and has entered the market with Camper & Nicholsons acting as the Central Agent.

The 43.12-metre superyacht Tabarakallah (ex; Graziadiu) has been sold, Yacht Masters has recently announced. Built by Italyachts in 2012, she features naval architecture and exterior design from Andrea Bacigalupo.

The third hull in the Ital 43-metre series, she accommodates up to 12 guests over five lower deck cabins. Powered by three MTU 16V 2000 M94 engines, she has a top speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots.

Lying in San Remo,Tabarakallah was listed for sale by Fabrice Viard at Liberty Yachts, with Hemmo Bloemers at Yacht Masters introducing the buyer in the deal. At the time of sale she was listed at an asking price of €9,900,000.

What is on offer?

Built by Ital Yachts and completed in 2011, the 43.12 metre superyacht Elsea features both naval architecture and exterior design from Andrea Bacigalupo, whilst her luxurious interiors come from the drawing boards of Cristiano Gatto Design.

Why do we think this is such a great deal?

Elsea has been thoroughly maintained throughout her lifetime and is in turn-key condition. Her generous exteriors are adapted to her impressive performances, and include a Jacuzzi and comfortable lounging area on the sun deck. Her main deck comfortably seats up to eight for the very best of al-fresco dining, with sun pads found aft completing the ideal area to relax and socialise.

Inside she has a comfortable and warm atmosphere, with Cristiano Gatto utilising ebony and leather throughout. Amongst her selection of tenders and toys on board is a 5.3 metre Castoldi water jet tender, two Seadoo GX150’s, two Cayago F7 Seabobs, and a wide array of towable and inflatable toys.

The Ital Yachts 43 Elsea underway

Rodriguez Group's Italyachts has launched superyacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/5865" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Special K31.0m (101'8&quot;)Italyachts2013">Special K</a>, for an American Owner. The yacht, a semi-custom 31 meter long yacht that does over 40 knots, with a hull based on a Leopard 31 and full custom interiors, is destined for use in Southern Florida. The Owner had come to the offices of Whyko in 2008, for a seatrail of a used Leopard 31, and left with an order for completely personalized 31 meter yacht, more enthused than when he arrived.<img alt="" src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/144898/image/large-fd57e464c0bf134bb6274fdb550d4fc1.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/144898">The Azul 31 is a luxury motor yacht with a hardtop superstructure, while her sleek lines emphasize her sporty exterior. Both the project and construction are founded in the consolidated and renowned Viareggio tradition of yacht building, and offer an extremely comfortable solid and reliable yacht. Life aboard is equally comfortable, either above decks or below, and all is custom made.With the design of the main-deck salon, the Owner created an extremely ample living area to accommodate his numerous family, with the stern couch to talk on, and watch the 55” TV. The dining room is forward, behind the pilot house, and furnished with a central table and eight chairs. Above decks, the cockpit offers an enormous sunbathing area and couch with extensive free space surrounding it.Below decks, the Owner chose a four cabin layout, three queen size and one double, each with their own private bathroom. For the first time in an Italian yard, exterior surfaces were finished with the new “Alexeal” paint, that gives an excellent result thanks to expert application and the product’s high quality.After delivery at the end of July 2013, the yacht will leave Golf-Juan on the Costa Azzurra for Miami and the Bahamas where the Owner’s family usually resides. And seeing that Miami is the home of high speed yachting, it’s no coincidence that this 31 meter has a cruising speed of about 36 knots, with a maximum speed of 40 knots; all thanks to her three MTU motors developing 1,800 horsepower through a Kamewa water-jet and central turbine.The owner stated: “I found a team that rose to the occasion”, said the Owner of the Azul 31, “so I very much want to thank the team at Italyacht: the yard’s Owner, Riccardo Bemi, the yard’s manager Andrea Todde, Dino Abbruzzese from the Rodriguez Group, the yacht’s captain and construction supervisor Piero Ragazzi. And special thanks also go to Marco Fiorani, who not only followed the construction as if it were his own yacht, but without him we couldn’t have made our dream come true.”

43 Metre Italyachts built Makira for sale with YPI

On December 31, 2011, the Rodriguez Group closed the 1st quarter of its 2011/2012 financial year. 1st quarter consolidated sales,concerning the period from October 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011, were € 13.9 million € 9.7 million from Yacht Sales and € 4.2 million generated by Sales of Services, including transactions carried out by the Camper &amp; Nicholsons Group. Even though the Group’s overall performance reflected a 45% decline in sales compared to the 1st quarter of 2010/2011, the Rodriguez Group points out that this is an automatic consequence of the change in its business model. By steering production towards the development of large yachts, with Italyachts’ 50 metre and the Alloy Sanlorenzo’s 40 meter as flagship products, which take longer to build (an average of 18 months), the Rodriguez Group has decided to consider the 1st quarter of the fiscal year as a period where it prepared for the coming season and showcased its models to customers. Rodriguez Group currently does not anticipate the new yacht sales business to take off before the 2nd or even the 3rd quarter of its fiscal year. The Group’s commercial ambitions for these products will focus on these periods. Furthermore, by putting a cap on the number of trade-ins and accelerating its destocking policy, the Group intends to significantly reduce the volume of Pre-Owned Yacht sales, hence the 42.6% decline between the 1st quarter of 2010/2011 and the 1st quarter of 2011/2012. Rodriguez Group closes the 1st quarter of its 2011/2012 financial year

An extremely sophisticated, high-performance yacht deserves the very best stabilization system. After its first successful Seakeeper installation, boatbuilder Rodriguez Group knew the gyros would be a must on future projects. Most recently, three M21000 gyros were installed on Elsea, a new Italyachts 43m.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/137484/image/large-eb3812e5e4c8cad6298db7e29c935586.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/137484">Half fly, half-hardtop, Elsea is representative of a new yacht class, Sportfly. And fly she does, with a cruising speed of 30 knots and top speed of 35 knots. Stabilization while underway is key for such a fast vessel. Whether cruising through the seas or at anchor, Seakeeper's gyros level the boat for a smooth ride. After sea trials in Viareggio, Italy and St. Tropez, France, the gyros achieved greater than 75% resonant roll reduction. From previous experience, Elsea's captain, Jonathan Stone, is quite enthusiastic about Seakeeper. "The gyros work well at reducing roll at speed, at anchor and in port in Monaco. The owner is very happy with the result, and we are looking at installing Seakeepers on other vessels he owns. In contrast to fins, gyros don't produce a jerky movement, installation is easier, they don't occupy as much space and are almost plug-and-play. In addition, silence at anchor is a huge factor for me. The gyros themselves are silent," said Stone. "This is fantastic when guests are on the swim platform." Capt. Stone further explained why gyros are preferred on yachts like Elsea. "Comfort is a top priority, along with the ability of the crew to carry out their duties," he said. "We were at anchor for several days in Portisco, Sardinia, an area famous for being buzzed by other large craft. The gyros worked so well I was never asked if the stabilizers were on".
