Delivered as Toshima and previously named O’Mega, she was built in 1985 by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/286" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (Company)">Mitsubishi Heavy Industries</a> as a small cruise ship. Between 2002 and 2003, she was converted into a superyacht in China, to a design by the Greek-based designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/76" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Vafiadis (Company)">Studio Vafiadis</a>. Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1096" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Emir82.5m (270'8&quot;)Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.1985">Emir</a> has an interior volume of 1,830 GT and is able to accommodate up to 30 guests in 14 luxurious staterooms. Performance-wise, she has a transatlantic range of 4,200 nautical miles and can reach a top speed of 17 knots thanks to her twin <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1741" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Yanmar Co., Ltd. (Company)">Yanmar</a> diesel engines of 1,975 horsepower each.

(Company)">Mitsubishi Heavy Industries</a>. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/340" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lady Haya64.6m (211'11&quot;)Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.1981">Lady Haya</a> has undergone two extensive refits over her lifetime, one from 2000-2002 in <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/309" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Lamda Shipyards (Company)">Lamda Shipyards</a> in which she was given a new stern and the bridge and boat deck were extended, as well as in 2006 by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/308" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cantieri Navali Di Pesaro (Company)">Cantieri Navali Di Pesaro</a>, where she was given new furniture, electrical systems and her generators were replaced.

​Magombo and Lady Haya in Puerto Banus, Spain

Recently seen in the Spanish port of Puerto Banus in Marbella are the two superyachts Mogambo (left) and Lady Haya (right). Mogambo measures 74 metres and was launched by Germany-based shipyard Nobiskrug in 2012 and designed by Reymond Langton. The yacht is named after a classic adventure movie starring Clark Gable, Ava Gardner and Grace Kelly, set in 1950s Kenya. Built in 1981 by the Japanese shipyard Mitsubishi Heavy Industries 64.60-metre metre superyacht Lady Haya (ex Pegasus IV; Shahnaz) features both exterior and interior design by Terence Disdale Design. Lady Haya was lengthened between 2000-2002 with an extended stern and aft-facing decks.
