SuperYacht Times takes a look at everything you might have missed from the world’s largest indoor yacht and watersports show.

A 29.11-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1912" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Princess Yachts (Company)">Princess</a> X95 motor yacht caught fire and later sank outside of one of Miami’s most popular strip clubs early Sunday 19 January morning. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/345291/image/large-fa00a31fd3e8c7201c90443cace21b28.jpeg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/345291">The fire erupted near the Booby Trap On The River strip club, located at 3615 NW South River Drive, Miami, around 03:00, approximately 30 minutes after the yacht was believed to have docked.Witnesses reported smelling smoke before club employees helped evacuate 10 guests, including rapper and producer Metro Boomin (Leland Tyler Wayne) who was allegedly chartering the yacht and five crew members. The club itself was also evacuated as a precaution due to its proximity to the burning vessel.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/345289/image/large-c55a2b63c189764f3d11c6b4b6c0ce86.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/345289">Flames engulfed the yacht shortly after the evacuation, prompting a large response from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue at around 04:00, according to the New York Post. More than 30 units, including fire rescue boats, were dispatched to tackle the blaze, which officials described as particularly challenging due to the yacht’s size and fuel load. The intense fire drew a crowd of onlookers as it burned through the night.To mitigate environmental damage, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue used oil-absorbent booms to contain fuel runoff after extinguishing the flames, spokesperson Nicholas DiGiacomo told the Miami Herald. Despite these efforts, the yacht burned for hours before ultimately sinking into the river around 7:00. It was declared a total loss, with DiGiacomo noting, “Because of how much water the vessel took on, she ended up rolling and capsizing at the dock, unfortunately taking two pylons with her.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/345290/image/large-a8db3cb75794a34a262215f15186ad15.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/345290">No injuries were reported and authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
