Founded in the early 1980s, the Italian brand has established a reputation for producing fast motor yachts with distinctive designs and technical features. Last week the yard invited a number of international journalists, including SuperYacht Times’ Francesca Webster to its Mondolfo facility to experience <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. The company began by focusing on repairs of laminated wood boats, before moving into yacht production. In 1985, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> introduced the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> 45, developed with designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/585" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design (Company)">Fulvio De Simoni</a>. The model combined the speed characteristics of a powerboat with the space of a motor yacht and brought international attention to the yard.The 1990s saw <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> expand into global markets. The company joined the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a> in 1998, a move that was followed by further growth in the luxury motor yacht sector. In 2012, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> has introduced a number of technical features and design elements across its ranges. These include the adoption of surface-piercing propeller systems, the use of water jets with a gas turbine on the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> 115 in 2004, and the introduction of triple engine propulsion on the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> 108 in 2011. The shipyard has also implemented weight-optimised construction methods and various solutions to improve seakeeping and onboard comfort.Design features introduced by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> include the hydraulic gangway on the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> 45 and the concealed sliding glass door on the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> 72, both developed with <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2618" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Besenzoni S.p.A. (Company)">Besenzoni</a>. More recent models have included details such as the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. The <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> 140, built in aluminium at the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/4876" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ferretti Group (Company)">Ferretti Group</a>’s Superyacht Yard in Ancona, is the yard’s largest model to date and its first superyacht.In addition to a tour of the facilities, the recent anniversary event included sea trials from Fano to Ancona onboard the <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> GTX 70 and X8. The facility incorporates 27 production stations, allowing multiple yachts to be built simultaneously. Pershing celebrates 40th anniversary

Pershing is marking its 40th anniversary in 2025, commemorating four decades of production, innovation and expansion in the yachting sector.

The 35.37-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/584" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Pershing S.p.a. (Company)">Pershing</a> motor yacht <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/2090" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ginger35.37m (116'1&quot;)Pershing S.p.a.2006">Ginger</a>, previously Flying Tiger, is on the market with Pierre Badin and Ioannis Petrocheilos of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/833" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Denison Yachting (Company)">Denison Yachting</a>. Her styling finishes include oak flooring, a black horsehair deckhead, grey sycamore blinds and carbon fibre accents. A TV is mounted in a divider forward of the saloon, behind which lies the helm station. Her stateroom configuration includes a full-beam master suite amidships, fitted with his-and-hers bathrooms, seating areas and a high-spec entertainment system. This space features vertical hull windows that provide natural light and sweeping sea views. Located forward is her VIP suite, which features an angled double bed, walk-in wardrobe, curved seating and an ensuite bathroom. Her sundeck is fitted with four fixed sun loungers, while the newly added teak dining table on the aft deck provides a scenic setting for al fresco meals. Exterior entertainment areas were also upgraded with new speakers and TVs.
