Oceanbird stands above other Sanlorenzo 52 Steel yachts as immediately after delivery from the yard the yacht went through a one year rebuild in 2022, redesigning the entire interior and exterior, creating a custom built Sanlorenzo upgraded to a superior level at a cost of €15 million including owner’s supply.

The comprehensive build specification with €3.3 million in optional extras including extended bathing platform and both owner’s deck and the sundeck were extended.

Sanlorenzo’s unique approach to the design of the Sanlorenzo 52 Steel created an unusually large interior and exceptionally large deck areas unique for any 53-metre yacht, making it the most popular of all sub 500-GT yachts.

What Makes Oceanbird Unique?

Oceanbird is one of the very few 53-metre yachts featuring an owner’s private deck with a penthouse suite and two VIP staterooms.

Her striking exterior combined with the all new interior integrating highly customised and distinctive design features such as rounded walls and corners avoiding flat surfaces and edges, further complemented by the spectacular backlit onyx and marble stone works and the breathtaking backlit alabaster staircase. The extensive use of glass throughout the interior encapsulates the reflective colours of the ocean, further enhanced by the elegant two-tone interior kept in white and light blue.

The owner’s stateroom, referred to as the “Owner Penthouse,” is built on the bridge deck for complete privacy, designed as a large suite that offers the feeling of a six-star hotel. Unlike 99% of yachts where the master cabin is located on the maindeck, Oceanbird provides the unique opportunity to open the electric doors in the morning and step out onto the “Owner’s Terrace” and enjoy your coffee. The bridge deck aft features a fireplace and heaters in the ceiling, allowing outdoor enjoyment even on cooler days.

The staterooms are designed with rounded walls complemented by the indirect lighting below the beds, furniture and in ceiling. The entire interior is absent of any straight lines or edges creating a flowing luxury sensation.

To ensure total privacy for the Owner, the captain’s cabin is located below decks. The spacious floor-heated Carrara marble bathroom features a standalone bathtub with stunning sea views while relaxing in addition to an enlarged shower. Another special feature is the unique 30 square metre walk-in wardrobe and dressing room featuring a two-metre-high heel shelf creating the atmosphere of a shoe haven. Outside the dressing room, there is a cigar lounge, surrounded by selenite panels on the walls and multiple design artefacts.

Impressive Guest Staterooms

While most 53-metre yachts accommodate the guests in “mini cabins” on the lower deck, Oceanbird’s vision has been to create unforgettable adventures for the guests.

Oceanbird’'s first enlarged VIP stateroom on the main deck features a breathtaking onyx bathroom and an adjacent office with a unique ocean view from the 3-metre wide window.

The lower deck hosts the second VIP stateroom and two double cabins. Traditionally most yachts have four equal sized small guest cabins, but on Oceanbird it was decided to make a change.

Two guest cabins were converted into a second large full beam VIP stateroom featuring a walk-in closet and a centrally located shower with a glass wall, offering a stunning design. Aft of the VIP stateroom, there are two double guest cabins with luxurious onyx bathrooms that guests will never want to leave.

The exceptionally large beach club measures 90 m², a size normally only found on 70-metre yachts, illuminated by the glass-bottom pool above. This creates exceptional lighting from the water combined with an almost 270 degrees view from the two opening side door balconies and stern door providing a sense of calmness throughout the area.

The beach club also doubles as a float-in tender garage from the stern allowing the tender to enter with ease. When not in use, the floor lowers creating a full beam expansive beach club with the fold down balconies.

From the beach club there is direct access to the well equipped luxury gym again with an opening side door for alfresco sensation whilst exercising complete with Technogym equipment.

The 5-metre glass pool on the aft deck is equipped with Swimstream and whirlpool, unique for any 53-metre yacht, perfectly complemented by the sun lounge area and private cocoon lounge forward just outside of the saloon.

The enormous Portuguese bridge on the bow offers a large private U-shaped seating area for 10 people and two triple person sun loungers with perfect shade from the sun sails.

The sundeck has been extensively customised from the Sanlorenzo 52 Steel series by one-metre extensions both fore and aft, well protected by the custom glass railing in lieu of the standard low angle windbreaker seen on smaller Sanlorenzo yachts, offering uninterrupted views creating a sundeck normally seen on 70-metre yachts.

The sundeck boasts an enormous full beam sunpad forward with a recessed custom 42 degrees jacuzzi in the centre. The marble dining table seats up to 10 guests well serviced from the large bar with a built-in barbecue ideal for summer evenings.

She is one of the few Sanlorenzo yachts built to ABS ACCU class and MCA compliance and in addition to the rebuild, all shipyard warranty claims have been completed.
